The original QD-OLED is back - better than ever!

AW__Tom | 06/01/2026

Alienware is on a roll right now, especially when it comes to OLEDs, and at Computex 2026, they unveiled the updated successor to the world's first 34" QD-OLED. And with a new subpixel layout, higher brightness, a new design, and a 280Hz refresh rate, it shapes up to be a solid option in this very form factor. We had the chance to check it out early, so please enjoy our first-impressions coverage! Never been a fan of curved panels but, I admit, it's a nice looking monitor.  The price, while reasonable, is outside my comfort zone when it comes to monitors with a risk for burn in.

As someone who needs an all-purpose monitor (for an equal mix of work and gaming) that's sometimes left on/in use for upwards of 14 hours a day, I'd like to see Alienware take a stab at a solid and affordable Mini LED monitor.
