Just got off the phone with Dell Support regarding the AW3225QF Monitor ($1000 screen). I get constant errors in windows under DeviceSetupManager with event ID 163 that is causing my PC to crash. This persists through clean installs on new hard drives, with or without the USB cable to
the PC and is occurring 100s of times per day. I was just informed that this issue is not covered under their warranty as it is hardware only and they stated I had to pay for support. LOL I AM DONE WITH DELL and AW, F U DELL

Also others online report experiencing the same issue and there are no solid or conclusive resolutions to this problem. I have backup log files prepared for them, memory dumps, kernal dumps neatly prepared and they refuse to even look

If you have this monitor go look in Event Viewer I bet you have got these errors also as it shows up immediately after the OS installs. GLHF Dell sucks and should be embarrassed that they don't know how to write functional code.

If you think it's actually a hardware issue I'd keep pestering them as well as hitting up other socials like their reddit sub

<mention>deciris</mention> I have never had an issue like this before so no I did not expect that. In my humble opinion. If it tries to install on my OS as soon as windows starts for the first time with only displayport its part of the hard

<mention>WHxx</mention> nah man I'm done with them. They are completely incompetent, inattentive, lazy and disrespectful of my time saying they are going to call and then its 2 days later in a different time block

<mention>slippynippy</mention> It might have something to do with the "Alienware Command Center". It literally acts like malware. You can't uninstall it, redownloads automatically via Win update, creates files in the Windows Temp folder.

<mention>slippynippy</mention> There might be a solution to block it via group policy & removal in safe boot, but didn't try it yet. Just google for "stop Alienware Command Center from installing" and try your luck.
