Regarding that survey it feels a bit out of touch with reality, because I don't think anyone these days wants a premium priced thin-and-lightweight gaming laptop in a world where things like the Steam Deck exist. For real these days laptops are basically portable desktops with an attached screen that I expect needs to be plugged in for anything beyond basic browser/office use, when I think portable gaming everyone's got a phone/tablet for basics with a Steam Deck/Legion Go/etc. as a gaming upgrade...

Imo a "gaming laptop" should be built like a tank, like a vintage IBM laptop. 2/3rd of the weight just for the heathink, LP hall effect keyboard, burn-in resistant fast IPS display, ultra durable body, no touchpad & a swapable power pack.

<mention>MARSM4N</mention> Absolutely, I don't care how much a gaming laptop weighs, give me a desktop with an attached screen with only 15 minutes battery to save &amp; shutdown like a UPS, games need more power, if I wanted portable I'd get a Steam Deck

I'm in the minority here I guess. To be fair, it doesn't at all need to be gaming themed, but the b390 in the 358h is exactly what I want. I just wish we trended towards 3.5lbs or lower with 15~ inch screen. Power would take a hit, but fine

<mention>Bobbydog66</mention> I think you misunderstand, this is SPECIFICALLY about Gaming Laptops, there's plenty of market for thin-light laptops for office/student type stuff, but they're talking gaming specific and those are 2 different markets...
