i need a recommendation for my next game folks, how does stalker heart of Chernobyl play? is it any good? does it use a good version of the unreal engine?

There is no "good version" of the Unreal Engine. There are only skilled developers & unskilled developers. The "Enhanced Edition" seems to be total trash. Better play the original version.

I've seen people only cheering for 1 game where dev's mastered to deliver great visuals , without totally tanking the FPS. That game was "ARC Raiders".

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 uses Unreal Engine 5. This engine currently offers the best graphics. And you can see that in the game. Technical problems are, of course, another side of the coin. Maybe you should wait until most of the bugs are fixed.

it plays well, has controller support and achievements, fully recommended. There are good versions of UE, namely UE3 and UE4. UE5 is ABSOLUTE TRASH. Thankfully STALKER 1 uses their own engine.

If you haven't played The Last of Us, Parts 1 &2, I highly recommend them. Excellent story and amazing graphics
